Welcome to the CIT Web 2.0 Expo Workshop Series

We are excited about this new workshop series exploring some of the many Web 2.0 tools. We will look at how these tools can and are used by faculty and staff for personal and professional needs. We will look at some of the ways that the tools are being used by students. We will also discuss ways that these tools will engage students by connecting them to you, to each other and to the world beyond the classroom.

Series 1:

he first series covers Skype, Facebook, and Twitter. This video is a nice overview of social networking - Social Media in Plain English. The next sessions will include: Buzzword, Social Bookmarking, Elluminate, Voicethread, Google Docs, iGoogle, Ning, Audacity, Podcasting, Blogging, Wikis, Jing, flip cameras, audience response systems, handheld devices to click through your presentation, SmartBoards...

Series 2:
The second series covers many of the topics that have been suggested over the past 6 weeks. LinkedIn, Social Bookmarking, Blogs, All Things Google, RSS Feeds and Aggregators, Wikis, Voicethread, Buzzword and GoogleDocs, Clicker Audience Response Systems, and Podcasting.

Please join us at one of the scheduled sessions or make an appointment to work with our trainer, Gaby Richard-Harrington. She is available on Mondays or Thursdays or by appointment. Work alone or with colleagues on Web 2.0 or other topics.
